You can use the 'Leave balance' dashboard to get an overview of the remaining number of days for the different types of absence. This can be useful to ensure that enough vacation is taken throughout the year, so that not all vacation days have to be scheduled at the end of the year.
You can find more information about how the reporting dashboards work in this manual.

All absence types for which balance management is enabled are shown here. More information about the absence types can be found in this manual.
Which leave balances are shown?
For a type of absence, a leave balance can be assigned to an employee. A balance has a validity period. On the dashboard, the balances that are valid within the selected period are shown.
Let’s assume the following balances are defined for all employees:
Leave balance | Valid from | Valid until |
Vacation | 01/01/2022 | 31/12/2022 |
Vacation | 01/01/2023 | 31/12/2023 |
Days carried over from last year | 01/01/2023 | 31/03/2023 |
If you request the leave balances on the dashboard for the period from 01/01/2023 to 31/01/2023, all balances from the last two rows will be shown - both the regular vacation for 2023 and the carried-over days from the previous year.
If you request the leave balances for the period from 01/07/2023 to 31/07/2023, only the balance for vacation 2023 will be shown. The carried-over days from the previous year will not be displayed because they are no longer valid during the selected period.
Filters
In addition to the filters for period and location, you can also filter by absence type on this dashboard.
