Do you have a question about historical employment data? Below you will find the most common situations and solutions.
❓ When should I create a new version?
Create a New version when an employee's situation changes from a specific date.
Example:
An employee will work more hours from 1 September.
➡️ Create a new version with 1 September as the start date.
❓ When should I edit the current version?
Was the information incorrect from the beginning?
➡️ Choose Edit the current version.
Example:
An employee has worked 30 hours since their start date, but 20 hours were entered in Strobbo.
❓ Why can't I change the start date?
The start date of an existing version in the past cannot be changed.
This ensures that the employment history remains correct.
❓ Why can't I edit a version?
Check whether there is a 🔒 lock icon next to the version.
A version can be locked because its period overlaps with:
a closed payroll period;
a closed time clock period;
a week closure.
A locked version is read-only.
❓ Can I delete an old version?
No. Only a future version that is not active yet can be deleted.
➡️ Select the future version and click Delete.
❓ I scheduled a future change, but it is no longer needed. What should I do?
Delete the scheduled version.
➡️ Select the future version → Delete
The previous version will be extended again.
❓ Are changes automatically copied to future versions?
No.
Changes made to a version are not automatically copied to later versions.
If you have multiple future versions, check whether the change also needs to be made there.
❓ What does the green checkmark ✅ mean?
A green checkmark means that the data from that version has been applied to payroll.
This is done using Apply to payroll.
❓ When should I use Apply to payroll?
When employment data changes during a payroll period, you may need to manually apply the correct data to payroll.
➡️ Use Apply to payroll.
❓ Why do I see a warning in Planning?
A warning can appear when employment data changes during a week.
This can affect:
contractual hours;
planning validation rules;
overtime.
🔴 Red = blocking rule
🟠 Orange = warning
❓ What happens to existing absences?
An existing absence is not automatically updated when you later create a new employment version.
Check existing absences when a change in working hours could affect their duration.
❓ What happens to Dimona?
If you create a new employment version while Dimona declarations already exist for that period, Strobbo asks whether you want to update them.
➡️ Check the message and select the appropriate option.
❓ Why do I see different values for different periods?
This is expected.
Strobbo uses the employment data that is valid on each specific day.
If an employee's contractual hours change from 1 September, for example, the data before and from 1 September onwards may be different.
