This validation rule sets a minimum number of rest hours within a specific period (days/weeks/months).
Rest hours are defined as hours without scheduled work time.

🛠️ How to set up the rule

  • Click on Management in the main menu.

  • Go to Settings.

  • Click on Planning validation rules.

  • Click the green “Add” button in the top right corner.

  • Select the desired rule — in this case: “Minimum rest hours in a defined period.”

💡 How to fill in all fields correctly

Choose a title and description

  • Title:
Give the rule a recognizable name, for example:
“Minimum 40 hours of rest in 1 week.”

  • Description:
Add a short explanation of why this rule is being set.
For example: “Everyone must receive at least 40 hours of rest per week.”

Select the appropriate statutes

  • Under the field “Statutes,” you’ll see a list of all available statutes in your organization.

  • By default, all statutes are selected.

  • Deselect the statutes for which this rule does not apply.
For example, if the rule only applies to permanent employees, uncheck the others.

Select the correct parameters

  • Minimum rest hours: Enter the number in hh:mm format.

  • If you want the hours to be consecutive, check “consecutive.”

  • Then choose the number of days/weeks/months to be considered.

  • Finally, select the correct period: day/week/month.

👀 How to recognize a warning in the planning:

  • At the top of the planning, a yellow dot will appear on the bell icon (notifications).

  • Click the bell to open the message.

  • You’ll see a list of employees who do not comply with the applied rule.

💡 Tip: Click on the notification to quickly navigate to the relevant employee or planning error and correct it immediately.
