In Strobbo, it is possible to allow clocking in and out in to be done only on devices that have the necessary permission.

This guide explains how to enable and disable this setting. If you do not have this option and would like to use it, you can request it via our Chat with Support.

Granting Permission

Who can do this?

Permission can only be granted by a supervisor or admin who has access to the time clock overview. As an employee, you cannot set this yourself.

When should you do this?

This is only necessary if you receive the message Invalid device.

How do I give this permission?

You will have to follow the following steps:

  1. Select Schedule in the sidebar and navigate to the Time entry overview

  2. Click on the blue Actions button

  3. Select Allow clock in on this device

    • A blue bar will now appear that will indicate and inform you that the device has been set as a fixed device to clock in

  4. To finalize the confiugration, you have to click on the Go to time clock button in the bar or you have to log out and press Time clock on on the login screen.

    • In the bar:

    • On the login screen:

Removing/denying the permission

Who can do this?

Removing permission from a device can only be done from the device itself. It can be performed by a supervisor or admin who logs into the device and then denies the permission as described in the steps, or by clearing the browser cache.

When do you need to do this?

You should do this when you no longer want a device to be used for clocking in, and only if permission has already been granted on that device.

How do you do this?

You can do this quickly by clicking the button Deny clock in on this device.
This button can be found in the blue bar that informs you the device has been set as a fixed clock-in device.

You can also do this through the Actions button.
