Audit logs - scenario's and examples

Audit logs help you quickly find who changed what, when, and where. Here are some common scenarios.

Scenario 1: "The missing worktime"

You’re sure Tom was scheduled to work in the Bar on December 15th, but the shift is gone. Tom is asking questions and you want to find out what happened.

Filters to use:

Advanced → From/Until

What you’ll find:
All worktime changes involving Tom on that day, including who deleted or modified the shift and exactly when it happened.

Scenario 2: "Planning sent with errors"

While checking your planning for next week, you notice some worktimes have validation errors, but the planning has already been sent to employees. You want to understand why.

What you’ll find:
Every time the planning for next week was sent, including how many warnings and errors were present at the time.
Click a log entry to see the actual errors and why the planner overrode them.

💡 Tip: Open audit logs via More actions → Audit logs from the planning page. The currently selected week or day is automatically applied as an advanced filter.

Scenario 3: "Who changed the statute?"

During payroll, you notice an employee’s statute is set to “Extra,” but you’re sure it should be “Student.” You want to find out who changed it and when.

What you’ll find:
All changes to this employee’s details. Look for a log entry showing the statute change; it will tell you who made the change and when.

💡 Tip: You can also access audit logs directly via the employee detail page → More actions → Audit logs to see all logs related to that employee.
