🏢 Changing an employee’s main workspace

When you update the main workspace of an employee, it’s now possible to select a workspace that belongs to a different company.

If you don't know how this is done, follow this guide.

In some cases, you might want to move the employee’s future absences to this new company and we’ll guide you through it step by step. 💡

🧭 When you change the workspace

If the employee has future absences, a pop-up will appear asking if you want to move those absences to the new main company.
If there are no future absences, this pop-up won’t appear!

🪄 The “move absences” modal

When you click Save, you’ll see a window where you can:
1️⃣ Choose a date from which the absences should be moved.
2️⃣ Decide what happens next:

  • Save without moving → Only the workspace switch will be saved.

  • Save and move → All absences after the selected date will move to the new company, and the workspace change will be saved. ✅

⚠️ Payroll Closure Warning

If there’s a payroll closure period after your selected date, you’ll see another pop-up.
You can then decide what to do:

  • Yes → Move all absences after the date (even those inside a closed payroll period).

  • No → Don’t move any absences and go back to the first pop-up.

💬 Quick Summary

  • Changing main workspace? You can also move future absences.

  • Choose your start date carefully.

  • Payroll closures will trigger an extra confirmation.

  • No future absences = no pop-up.
