An employee’s age is an important detail. For underage employees, specific legal rules apply (such as working hours and breaks). In addition, it can be useful to see birthdays in the system — or to prepare a surprise party just in time 🥳.

That’s why we’ve added a few helpful visual indicators:

Tooltip and behind the display name

In both the time clock overview and the schedule, the tooltip shows additional employee details. You can now also see whether an employee is under 16, 16 or 17.

Underage employees are also highlighted with a yellow box showing their age (-16, 16 or 17). This way, you immediately know who is underage without having to memorize it yourself.

Please note we will not show 18+ because then it would be showed for everybody, we focus on indicating minors (-16, 16-17) in the software.

In the schedule cell

A cake icon with confetti appears in the schedule cell on an employee’s birthday:

  • Yellow framed icon = underage birthday milestone.

  • Icon without frame = regular birthday of an adult employee.

You can always check the legend for the meaning of the icons.

On the homepage notifications

On the homepage, birthdays for the next 7 days are shown in the notifications. Employees are sorted from youngest to oldest. This way, you know exactly who to surprise first with a card or a piece of cake 🎂🎉.
