This validation rule checks whether an EXT employee is scheduled for more than two consecutive days.

Unlike other validation rules that are based on the employee’s Statute, this rule uses the Dimona type to determine applicability. The employee needs to have Dimona type EXT-hour or EXT-day.

🛠️ How to set up the rule

  • Click on Management in the main menu.

  • Go to Settings.

  • Click on Planning Validation Rules.

  • In the top right corner, click the green “Add” button.

  • Select the desired rule, in this case: "EXT Employees planned for more than 2 consecutive days".

💡 How to fill in all fields correctly

Choose a title and description

  • Title:
Give the rule a recognizable name, for example:
“Scheduled in violation of Dimona legislation”.

  • Description:
Add a short explanation describing why this rule has been set up.
For example: “EXT employees may not work two consecutive days”.

Select the correct statutes

Under the field “Statutes” you will see a list of all available statutes in your organization.

  • By default, all statutes are selected.

  • Deselect the statutes for which this rule does not apply.
For example: if the rule only applies to extras, uncheck the other statutes.

👀 How to spot a warning in the planning:

  • A yellow dot will appear on the bell icon (notifications) at the top of the planning screen.

  • Click the bell icon to open the notification.

  • You’ll see a list of employees who are not compliant with the configured rule.

💡 Tip: Click the notification to quickly navigate to the relevant employee or issue in the planning, so you can fix it right away.
