This validation rule checks whether a minor (<18) is scheduled for two or more consecutive Sundays or with less than 36 hours of rest after a scheduled Sunday.
Important: To determine whether an employee is a minor, their birth date must be filled in in their profile.
⚠️ Attention: We consider the employee’s age at the start of the workweek. So, if the employee turns 18 on Wednesday, they will still be regarded as underage for the entire week.
🛠️ How to set up the rule
Click Management in the main menu.
Go to Settings.
Click on Planning Validation Rules.
Click the green “Add” button in the top right corner.
Select the desired rule, in this case:
"Minors (<18) scheduled on 2+ consecutive Sundays or with <36h rest after a Sunday."
💡 How to correctly fill in all the fields
➤ Choose a title and description
Title:
Give the rule a recognizable name, for example:
“Students under 18 may not work two Sundays in a row.”
Description:
Add a short explanation describing why this rule was set up.
For example: “Students may not be scheduled on two or more Sundays.”
➤ Select the appropriate statutes
Under the “Statutes” field, you’ll see a list of all available statutes in your organization.
By default, all statutes are selected.
Deselect the statuses for which this rule does not apply.
For example: if the rule only applies to students, uncheck the other statutes.
