This validation rule will check if a worktime is planned in a workarea to which the employee is no longer assigned.

🛠️ How to Set Up the Rule

  1. Click on Management in the main menu.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Click on Planning Validation Rules.

  4. In the top right corner, click the green “Add” button.

  5. Select the desired rule — in this case, “planned in an invalid workarea”.

💡 How to Correctly Fill in All Fields

Choose a Title and Description

  • Title:
Give the rule a recognizable name, for example:
    "Planned in an invalid workarea"

  • Description:
Add a brief explanation describing why this rule is set.

For example: “Students are not plannable in an invalid workarea”.

Select the Appropriate Statuses

Under the "Statuses" field, you will see a list of all available statuses within your organization.

  • By default, all statuses are selected.

  • Deselect the statuses where this rule does not apply.
For example: If the rule only applies to flexi-jobbers, uncheck other statuses.

⏱️ How to recognize a warning in the planning:

At the top of the planning, a yellow dot will appear in the bell icon (notifications).

Click on the bell to open the notification.

You will see a list of employees who do not comply with the set rule, including details about the violation (e.g., too few or too many scheduled hours).

💡 Tip: Click on the notification to quickly navigate to the relevant employee or error in the planning and make the necessary adjustments.
